Stumbling across this song while flipping through radio stations one day was a total God-incidence. I’d been having a hard time finding any motivation to accomplish much because my emotional fuel tank was on empty. He used Shake the World to fill me up again that day though. Ever since, I’ve loved the song not only for its catchy beat, but for the reminders and images found within the lyrics as well. Listening to it never fails to make me want to get up and dance! It’s one of my absolute favorite songs to put on in the mornings when my phone is docked on its iHome, and I’m attempting to get up, get dressed, and get going. The pure joy this song fills me with is amazing. I can feel the Spirit moving, and I can feel God’s closeness to me. The idea of the Body of Christ marching, united as one singing, shouting, praises to God loudly enough to shake the world is very much what I imagine Heaven to be like. Trying to imagine such a scene on earth, well, it’s an incredible idea. All in all, this song fills me with a sense of freedom that I can’t describe as anything other then heavenly, and that’s something worth sharing.
