Another spring break has come and gone. I may have been at home, in one town, for the entire week, but I still managed to have a very full and fun week. It was certainly different not taking a spontaneous spring break trip this year, but what can you do when your brother has spring break the week after you?
So while I’m back at it and off to class this morning, I’m going to leave these pictures from break here for your enjoyment.
Pizza night at my aunt and uncle’s to kick off the week on Saturday evening after we had spent the day working in the yard.
We had the BEST strawberry shortcake for dessert with homemade shortbread and homemade whipped cream.
Sunday afternoon my parents surprised the brother and me and took us out to our family’s favorite steakhouse. It was an early birthday dinner for him, and a celebration dinner for me since I finally chose a college.
Popcorn and a fireplace while waiting to be seated? I’ll take it.
I assure you, this cheesecake drizzled with chocolate I had for dessert was every bit as good as it looks.
Met a dear friend for chai tea lattes on Monday.
Tuesday consisted of prom dress shopping and ice cream for breakfast. (It was made out of frozen bananas + almond milk + peanut butter people. Totally valid.)
Also, spontaneous cupcakes because we passed a cute little cupcake shop on our dress hunt and obviously had to get some.
Come Wednesday, I was perfectly happy to have a lazy day at home which included this my favorite bath bomb from LUSH: Big Blue.
On Thursday, I met up with my admissions representative at my college for gelato since she was in town, and it was great. (The gelato and the company.)
Lastly, I may or may not have whipped up something delicious in the kitchen to end the week, and I may or may not be going to give it its own baking post. I’ll leave you with that.
