I have challenged myself to take a photo-a-day for an entire year, so today I want to share January’s photos along with a thought that has been comforting to me as of late.
A week or so ago, I was walking across campus with some of my peers and we were chatting about the upcoming evens of our day— most of us a bit wearily at the end of another week. As we approached the academic buildings where lectures and exams and learning awaited, we got a glimpse of a beautiful sunrise over the valley horizon (yes, mountain life is pretty great). In that moment, it hit me, and I said out loud: I’m probably about to go fail a French test, but the Lord is still good. And I meant it, and I repeated it, and it was the encouragement myself and a few of the others needed to get through our day.
Whatever our circumstances, whatever our days hold, whatever we have in our pasts: the LORD is still Good. That has been a great encouragement to me in the past week, and I hope it encourages you as well.
